Hotel experts express concern that the third and fourth quarters of 2008 would further bring more discounts for hotel patrons, one move which will keep the Dublin hotels’ profitability at a low level.

A chartered accountancy firm called Horwath Bastow Charleton advises that hoteliers should keep in mind the rising prices in the market if they are to guard the future profitability of Dublin hotels. The practice also recommends that hotels should hold their financials in a tight fist.

Since both the remainder of the year and 2009 would bring more challenges to the industry, smart financial decisions would dictate the profitability of hotels.
